Major Scare

On Friday afternoon my husband called me at 3:30 p.m. Our new kindergartner did not get off of the school bus. Oh my gosh. Where is he. I phoned the school and the secretary contacted his teacher. The teacher says yes we put him on the bus. Where is my son. I called the bus dispatch and the lady was very rude. She says I am on the phone with the school and you just need to go to the school. I dropped everything at work and ran to my car. I called my husband and he started walking the streets to see if Draysen had gotten off at another stop. I was about half way to the school and the phone rang it was the school principal. They had located Draysen - he was put on the wrong school bus. What - you have to be kidding me. Do they understand how traumatic this is for us. As soon as I pulled up to the school I saw Draysen. I jumped out of the car and gave him a huge hug. It took me several hours to calm down. The what ifs in life...

This happened with my neice last year - same age. The bus went to the middle school for some reason and she got off.... no one stopped her! It was a crazy time while we were trying to locate her!

How awful! This happened to my niece on her first day of kindergarten as well. My sister was so upset. I am happy to hear they figured out where he was. Hopefully he will not be afraid of the bus from now on. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I've actually "lost" 4 out of my 5. I know - how in the hell? I say "lost" because we actually had to call 911. They had the chopper in Mesa announcing that there was a little boy lost. I was hysterical. He was actually under a pile of blankets fast asleep. We had 6 cop cars in front of our house scouring the area.

We didn't even know our youngest was missing... when we discovered it, she had already been at the police station for 2 hours. We had to have CPS come to the house & everything. It was one of those times when I was sick, and the ex didn't bother to lock the top lock so she couldn't get out... I thought she was with him... well, it was awful. I know that panic feeling. I'm glad mine are all older, hopefully I'll never go thru it again. Thank God for cell phones!

I'm glad you found him, and he was safe.

Wow, they didn't handle that very well. As a mom of a kindergartener..they should have handled that situation with more grace.

Glad your little guy is okay. Praise God for that.
